Great article in The Atlantic to better understand what went wrong with Kodak, while the company is filing for Chapter 11.

The merit of this article is to show that contrary to common belief Kodak did not die from being totally absent from the digital photography market but rather from lacking a sustainable business model.

Kodak first attempted to remake itself as a leading digital camera company, and more recently, as a high tech printer maker. Kodak wasn't a late-comer to digital photography.
