Copyright is on the rise in Vitenam. We learned that the fees came from TV, radio, internet, performances, music books, supermarkets, ring tones, karaoke, bars, coffee shops, hotels and restaurants. The copyright fee from karaoke alone was the equivalent of US$150,000 in 2010, showing an increase of 138.5 percent compared to 2009.
