USA: Former Sun CEO: 'Steve Jobs and Bill Gates threatened to Sue Me'
According to former Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz, both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates personally threatened to sue Sun over alleged infringement of Apple and Microsoft intellectual property, respectively. Schwartz writes in a blogpost that he received a phone call from Steve Jobs after Sun presented a 3D desktop called 'looking glass'. According to Schwartz, Jobs claimed that the graphical effects were "stepping all over Apple’s IP." Schwartz said his reply was that Apple's Keynote looked identical to Concurrence, software to which Sun owned the rights, and that OS X had striking similarities with Unix, also in part IP of Sun.
