 A very interesting and lengthy decision (27 pages) from Judge Patel (US District Court Northern District of California) where two screenwriters were suing Sony (after failure to settle) alleging infringement of their treatments and screenplays in the popular PS2 videogame ‘God of War’. This very detailed decision is an excellent pretext to revisit the fundamentals of copyright infringement (access, substantial copying) as well as the line between ideas and expression.
