Soon a Permanent Injunction against Limewire?
U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood (Southern District of New York) could deliver a knockout blow to controversial file-sharing software Lime Wire this Monday if she agrees to grant the music industry's request for a permanent injunction. The top record companies accused LimeWire of violating copyright law in a complaint filed August 2006 and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) obtained a summary judgment last month (see HERE).
