In the Bryant v. Mattel case (04-09049), Judge David Carter, a US district judge (Central district of California, Santa Ana) held in a December 27, 2010 Order that Mattel Inc. (Mattel) can’t pursue its $28 million copyright- infringement claims against MGA Entertainment Inc.(MGA)’s Bratz dolls other than the first four, introduced in 2001, and two later models (‘Ooh La La Cloe’ and ‘Formal Funk Dana’).
