Salinger Case Back to the Southern District of NY

While France had a case about a sequel to Victor Hugo’s 'Les Miserables' (see HERE), the US have a pending lawsuit regarding a sequel to JD Salinger’s classic 'Catcher in the Rye'.

Salinger died last January but the case is still going on with his estate.

On July 1st, 2009, a NY federal District judge (Deborah Batts, Southern District of NY) blocked the US publication of Swedish novelist Fredrik Colting’s sequel '60 Years Later: Coming Through The Rye' (see decision HERE).
