No disclosure orders against ISPs in online IP cases
On 1 July, the Supreme Court of Israel overturned a decision which ordered Google to disclose the details of the owner of a Gmail account responsible for online infringement. The case began in the Tel Aviv District Court, where the plaintiffs sought injunction to order Google to disclose information relating to the operator of an online site allegedly infringing the plaintiff's trademark. In January 2009, the District Court issued a dislcosure order against Google. Google appealed the decision to the Supreme Court.
