Microsoft is raising claims of intellectual property violation, in the realm of the user interface, and the basic outline of the operating system, a taste of déjà-vu (if you remember the clash between Windows and Linux).

One question is whether Microsoft is ready to sue HTC (manufacturer of the Android phone), knowing that HTC is one of Microsoft's biggest customers in the hardware sector. HTC’s firepower is for sure lower than most IT companies (including Google). It is a manufacturer and its patent portfolio being weak.
