Louis Vuitton, Bags, Starving Children, IP & Artistic Freedom...
In a move designed to draw attention to the genocide in Darfur, in 2008 a young fashion student (Nadia Plesner) took the decision to juxtapose an image of a starving child with a Louis Vuitton-inspired bag. Louis Vuitton responded by suing Ms Plesner. Torrent Freak stresses that this week, Luis Vuitton lost not only the case, but also the all-important PR battle.
