Kiwi Scholar takes pro ISP Stance

Pr. Jane Kelsey, a University of Auckland’s Professor and a renowned advocate for free-trade, fears that US negotiators at the TPP talks (Trans-Pacific Partnership free-trade agreement) will try to return to the question of internet service providers' (ISPs) liability for customers’ unlawful downloading or uploading. Such liability was set aside at the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) 2010 talks. 

The next round of negotiations of TPP is scheduled in Chile next month.
