Indian Prime Minister Interferes on IPR Changes for Drug Multinational Companies.
The Economic Times recently reported that the Government of India is considering a set of proposals by global drugmakers that seeks certain changes in the country’s IP regime that can compromise Indian drugmakers ability to sell low-cost medicines. The Prime Ministers’s office (PMO) has sought views from the ministry of commerce, health & family welfare and department of legal affairs on the proposals.
