LexOrbis recently reported about a May 25, 2010 case of M.S.M. Satellite Singapore Pvt Ltd. v Star Cable Network & Others [F.A.O. (OS) 211/2010] where the Delhi High Court addressed the issue of illegal downloads of television signals.

Several piracy issues retain the entertainment industry's attention at the moment (in particular theft of signals and illegal downloading). The M.S.M. Satellite had a wholly-owned-subsidiary (Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd.), which in turn had an exclusive distributor (M.S.M. Discovery Pvt. Ltd.) for the popular Indian Sony Set Max Channel.
