Greenday Sued over Alleged Artistic Copyright and Trademark Infringement
Usually bands are sued for infringement of a musical composition. This time LA artist and illustrator Dereck Seltzer asked his lawyers (Beverly Hills based law firm Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman, LLP) to bring legal action against the rock band Greenday at Los Angeles federal court for copyright infringement of his artwork. He alleges that the band used his original artwork as the graphic image for their stage setting during their world tour for American Idiot.
