Google Now Sued by U.S. Artists and Photographers
Following up on our news last week regarding the lawsuits opposing French publishers and Google, it is now US photographers' and artists' turn to sue Google over the Book Project. While the class-action settlement between publishers,authors and Google is still pending and awaits approval (or more likely denial of approval) by the Court for the Southern District of New York, such settlement only covers the text of the books. It does not include works from photographers and artists which were scanned with the books by Google.
