In a conference this week-end, Pakistan's Chairman Intellectual Property Organization (IPO) Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi emphasized that knowledge based economy is imperative for national development and socio-economic uplift of the country. He expressed these views that due to non compliance of IPR laws in the country, Multi National Companies and local business entrepreneurs were moving to other countries, which had adversely affected Pakistan's economy, industrial growth and the social fabric.
