The UK Newspaper the Guardian published in May an important article from Canadian Sci-Fi novelist and Collective Commons activist Cory Doctorow.

Doctorow expresses his views about copyright. Telling the recent story of Dune's fans who had received threats from Frank Herbert's (Dune's creator) estate for recreating their favourite novel's setting within the virtual confines of Second Life, Doctorow wonders "how we ended up with a copyright law that only protects critics, while leaving fans out in the cold?".
