The Economic Times reported on on May 3rd, 2010 that Indian pharmaceutical company Cipla has sent a legal notice to US George Washington University (GWU), a leading US IP University, for organizing a symposium along with industry body CII in February. It has asked the institute to publish a written apology saying it does not endorse or support the views made by one of its sponsors, American drugmaker Gilead Sciences, on a pending patent case.
