Britney Spears Challenged Over Copyright
MTV announces that Britney Spears may soon be challenged in court by a country music band over similarities in the title of one of her songs. The Bellamy Brothers argue that their 1979 Tex-Mex country hit "If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" shares a lot with Britney Spears' track "Hold It Against Me." It will be interesting to see what on which ground an action would be brought against Britney as a title is not copyrightable under US copyright law.
