Brazilian NIC - registrations admitted for ".emp.br"

Yesterday, August 10, 2010, the Brazilian NIC published the possibility to register domain names under extension ".emp.br". The Brazilian NIC has established a "sunrise" period, which goes from August 16 until September 30, 2010. During such "sunrise" period, owners of domain names ".com.br" shall request preferrence in registering the same domain under ".emp.br". The same procedure was adopted last year for ".net.br". Afterwards, it will be free to anyone. It does not seem a proper way to operate a new extension, because, again, it does not address trademark issues that will arise with this new extension.
