[Art] Two major art auctions are coming up: Following some of the Lehman Brothers’ art collection sale at Freeman’s in Philadelphia last month, 1,200 works will be auctioned in New York in May.This collection consists of works that belonged by Neuberger Berman before their purchase by LB in 2003. Neuberger has until May 4 to exercise an option to buy back these works, which include pieces by Damien Hirst, Richard Prince, Mark Grotjahn, John Baldessari, Andreas Gursky and Gerhard Richter. Also this week Christie's unveiled in Los Angeles more of the Michael Crichton collection, to be auctionned in New York this May. Crichton, the best-selling author who died in 2008 lived in Beverley Hills with his art, which includes works by Jasper Johns, Frank Stella, Andreas Gursky, Edward Ruscha, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Mark Tansey.
